THE VOW:
“By everything divine, by life, and by God, I swear and promise to abide by this vow, in the name of God.”
a small, honest exercise
This is a symbolic exercise, nothing more and nothing less. You name an amount, and a reason that amount would serve. The rule is simple: the reason has to carry weight toward something bigger than yourself, not just toward what you want.
You will be asked to state the reason plainly. It will be weighed honestly, the way a grounded friend would weigh it, not flattered and not dismissed. If it holds up, you can close the exercise with a short covenant you can print and keep.
Name the amount, and the reason it would serve. Take your time with the reason, a sentence or two rarely tells the whole truth.
Covenants you have completed, kept only on this device.
